The resort, Clearwater Paradise is an all-inclusive 10-room boutique Caribbean resort located in the Bay Islands of Honduras. Guanaja is the least visited, least known and most unspoiled of the three main Bay Islands. It is often referred to as the “Green” island or “Wild” island because of its mountainous, lush terrain and lack of development.

Because of our remoteness, we are a “boat-access only” resort that offers some of the most spectacular diving/snorkeling, fishing, and general “just hang-out” opportunities anywhere. Guanaja is located on the world’s second largest barrier reef and our mountainous little island is surrounded by untouched, unspoiled reefs. There are over 50 named dive locations and countless unnamed ones. There is no competing with other dive shops or dive boats here. 

Guanaja is arguably the nicest of the three Bay Islands of Honduras, it is located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) off the north coast of Honduras, and 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from the island of Roatan. One of the cays off Guanaja, also called Guanaja or Bonacca or Low Cay (or just simply, The Cay), is near the main island, and contains most of the population. The densely populated cay has been described as the Venice of Honduras because of the waterways that run through it. One of the most interesting things about this cay is that no vehicles are permitted, not even bicycles.

Traveling to Guanaja:  Fly into Roatan. A ferry runs to and from Guanaja 2 days a week. On Saturday, it runs from Roatan to Guanaja and on Saturday back to Roatan.
