           Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT):

            Go From Instructor to In-Demand

PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) Course | Sierra Madre Divers

Passing the IE makes you an instructor. Becoming a Master Scuba Diver Trainer makes you the pro that dive centers, resorts, and liveaboards line up to hire. Our MSDT Prep program takes newly certified Open Water Scuba Instructors and turns them into well-rounded, highly marketable professionals — ready to teach a full menu of PADI specialties.

The Rating That Gets You Hired

MSDT Prep develops the five PADI Specialty Instructor ratings required for the Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating. Earn your five specialties, certify 25 divers, and you'll hold one of the most respected credentials in recreational diving — and a serious edge in the job market.

The Three Every Employer Wants

Every MSDT candidate trains in the three core specialties dive operations ask for most:

Deep Diver — take students beyond 18 metres with the skills and planning to do it safely. Enriched Air (Nitrox) — the most requested specialty in diving: longer bottom times, shorter surface intervals. Underwater Navigation — turn divers into confident navigators who always find their way back.

Then Make It Yours

Choose two more electives from the full range of PADI specialties our Course Director is qualified to teach — Wreck, Night, Dry Suit, Search & Recovery, Sidemount, DPV, Drift, Boat, Equipment Specialist, Emergency Oxygen, Self-Reliant, Full Face Mask, Digital Photography, and more. Match your ratings to the diving you want to lead. And here's the bonus: complete five specialties and your sixth elective is on us — you finish with six specialty instructor ratings.

Trained by a Gold Course Director

MSDT Prep is led by David "Sunny" Sundberg, a PADI Gold Course Director with the full slate of specialty instructor credentials. You're learning to teach specialties from one of the most experienced instructor-trainers in the region.
