Garmin Descent X30 is a large-screen, scuba-dedicated computer with bright color display and glove-friendly buttons. Supports single- and multi-gas, gauge, and decompression using the Bühlmann decompression algorithms. Includes underwater compass, surface GPS entry/exit tagging, customizable audible/visual/vibration alerts, robust rechargeable battery life, and rugged build for recreational to technical divers.

Here’s a quick, dive shop-floor rundown of the Garmin Descent X30—Garmin’s new large-screen, scuba-only computer (not a smartwatch).

Display & Controls: Big, bright 2.4" color screen (320×240) with four large metal, leakproof buttons—easy to read and operate with gloves. 

Dive Modes: Open-circuit single-gas & multi-gas (incl. nitrox/trimix), gauge, and pool modes; full decompression capability. Uses the Bühlmann ZHL-16C algorithm with configurable gradient factors. 

Navigation: Underwater digital compass plus surface GPS to tag entry/exit points.

Alerts: Visual, audible, and vibration alerts you can customize. 

Battery: Up to ~30 hours of dive time per charge (medium brightness). 

Build & Rating: Rugged housing with bezel made from recycled ocean-bound plastics; 10 ATM dive-rated.
