This fabulous adventure departs and returns from Port Ghalib June 19-26, 2023. This is a Daedalus, Rocky Island , Zabargad itinerary and is being run as a “Shark Week”. What that means is that one of our managing operators, Dr. Elke Bojanowski, will be onboard. She is the founder of Red Sea Sharks, an organization tracking the population and migration of several species of sharks in the Red Sea. She gives a few lectures throughout the week that guests can sit in on and will also try to identify specific sharks through her personal photos and guest photos.

Dive with the sharks or simply observe. The Red Sea is home to the following species:  hammerheads, silkys, silvertips, grey reef, oceanic whitetips, threshers and whale sharks.

But the week isn't just about sharks! We will also see the mysterious Russian shipwreck in Zabargad, graceful sea turtles and diverse bird species. Plus, the unique topography of pinnacles and sloping walls, decorated with colorful soft corals, surrounds this beautiful island.

And while we are diving the Rocky Island, whale sharks, manta rays and leopard sharks are known to quickly swim into focus in the turquoise blue waters.

The Red Sea is designated a top dive destination due to its clear visibility, colorful hard and soft corals, numerous shipwrecks and 7 species of sharks.
